With the new campus opening, Emily Carr University underwent a rebrand with Camp Pacific. I assisted in the rebrand itself, as well as the roll-out of materials that were created for the new school year.
The logo was inspired by the idea that students are exposed to an array of individual experiences at school, but it is the combination of these experiences that shapes both their art, and who they are.
This cumulative approach was applied to the entire design system – including the new building itself. Various individual elements from the new identity, like colour and shape, can be recognized across the campus, representative of the many individual experiences that contribute to the whole.
The logo acted as a jumping off point to being exploring how overlays and patterns would fit into the look and feel.
After establishing the look and feel of the brand, we were able to further push the brand in various printed materials.
